Many will pull bottles of certified organic skin care products off the shelves in hopes of healthier skin. Then you think of all the hype the cosmetic companys place out there to confuse and overpower consumers; will it really clean? Will it last or spoil?

Unfortunately, most of us pay more attention to the marketing claims than to the ingredients and end result. Slick marketing lingo is designed to promote and seduce to overstate the qualities of the product, but just enough so that the companys claims wont get in trouble with the FDA. The best defense for these cosmetic companies is to plant subtle hints that organic skin care products dont clean as well, dont work as well or that its simply too good to be true. The bottom line is certified organic skin care products dont hide behind unsubstantiated claims to seduce consumers.

Certified organic skin care products clean the skin better without stripping the outer layer of essential oils. Do you ever wash your face leaving it feeling taut and dry? Weve been led to believe that taut feeling means clean when in fact, that feeling means stripped. The ingredients used by the cosmetic companies are no more than glorified chemicals to help you believe its the best for your skin.

Nothing short of cosmetic dermatology or surgery will completely wrinkles. However when you hear these claims you often want to believe it so bad that you run out and purchase the product. These claims are no more than beauty buzz, designed for your reaction to buy.

Keep in mind, the FDA spends about 1 percent of its budget to monitor the entire beauty industry. In theory, while there are industry standards to uphold and truth-in-advertising rules to adhere to in actual practice cosmetic manufacturers are free to say and do almost anything to sell their products. The FDC Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act passed in 1938 was passed to establish a legal definition for cosmetics, however, even today companies find a way around legislation. Under the less than watchful eye of the FDA, cosmetic companies can use just about any marketing tactics they want, within reason. And most do come close to overstating the qualities and effectiveness of their product.

The industry has remained largely Certified organic skin care products are regulated for safety and must meet stringent guidelines to market themselves as organic.

Consumers have begun to rethink their skin care products, opting more and more for certified organic skin care products that do exactly what they claim.
